I’m always having to mentally compartmentalize my interactions with people and places where I go in order to protect myself from anyone who is not accepting, not supportive or negative about me being a gay, lesbian or LGBTQ person.
I feel like no one takes me seriously or is very inconsiderate about who I am. I don't feel heard, seen or understood as a gay, lesbian or LGBTQ person.
I want healthy relationships with people who can relate to the struggles and hardships that I’ve encountered as a gay, lesbian or LGBTQ person. I don’t think we have enough role models and representation of ourselves in a heteronormative society.
My family upbringing was strict, religious and homophobic!
I had no outlet to express myself or understand who I was as a young lesbian child, teenager and adult.
There was a time when I was a child that I thought it was okay to be a lesbian, but I quickly learned from my family that being gay is a problem!
I had so many questions, struggles, and conflicts growing up which led to me living a troubled and hidden life because society taught me that who I am is shameful and a disgrace.
As an African American young woman, I struggled with my relationships with people, my sexual orientation and my relationship with God, Faith and Spirituality.
I couldn’t understand why I was a Lesbian because I went to church every Sunday. There, I was reminded about my lesbian sexual orientation being a sin - but I didn’t know how to change!
which eventually led to the idea of writing a book to help others with the hope and desire to mitigate the pain, loss and devastating effects of being mistreated as a Lesbian, Gay or LGBTQ person.
I have learned and experienced much in my life and I am still learning! My studies are thoroughly about Human Behavior, religion and spirituality and their relationships or conflicts concerning homosexuality. My educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Human Behavior, Capella University; a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Texas A&M University; and an Associate of Arts degree in Public Relations, Southwestern Christian College.

My book, “She A Lesbian: Finding My Identity In Genesis” is more than about myself because I provide biblical history, scholarly research, and resources to educate and enlighten the LGBTQ community and the world about how homophobia and bigotry is a Choice, but Homosexuality is not a Choice.
My coaching expertise is to service Lesbian and Gay individuals; as well as LGBTQ persons, regarding self-love; self-acceptance; self-awareness; relationship building and spiritual resilience.

I have overcome spiritual dissonance, pain, and isolation and even ostracism by loved ones and now, I can proudly introduce, “She A Lesbian: Finding My Identity in Genesis️.”
“She A Lesbian: Finding My Identity in Genesis️” discloses how the people closest to me eventually closed themselves off from me, because they could only see me as a lesbian️.
They no longer valued me or considered who I am.
I was not accepted or liked as a lesbian young woman.
In their eyes and in their limited mindset, being gay is a problem.
I did not appeal to them and they were ashamed of me for being a lesbian.
It almost brought me to ruin!
“She A Lesbian️: Finding My Identity In Genesis️” is about personal acceptance and freedom to be myself.
